General Bramwell Tillsley

Your Training Principal becomes a lasting influence in your life. Our Principal was General Bramwell Tillsley. From the first day we met him and his wife, we were convinced that God had set up this relationship for the glory of God. I had never heard such dynamic preaching (never listened much before that moment) and was inspired by their personal interest in people.

They were visiting at Spring Valley Corps this morning. They always inspire me towards holiness. Every conversation and every opportunity to be near them is a joy to my heart.

Isn't it amazing that our son Jason and his wife join two sessions of cadets at the SFOT with Major Mark Tillsley as the Training Principal. It is as they say when we think of the Tillsleys, "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree." Hallelujah!

Hebrews 13:7 (MSG)
7 "Appreciate your pastoral leaders who gave you the Word of God. Take a good look at the way they live, and let their faithfulness instruct you, as well as their truthfulness. There should be a consistency that runs through us all."

This is true! What a wonderful opportunity to be able to hear from an amazing man of God like General Tillsley. And to be in conversation on a daily basis with a man like Major Mark Tillsley. Two men appointed by God.

It is amazing how those generations reconect.

Geoff Swires, Phil Hostetler, and Billy Francis were all in my session and their parents were all in training with my mom.
