Michael

Our Michael has been home with us for two weeks from his post in Afghanistan. He goes back tomorrow morning. We're glad he was home but are sad that he must leave already. I think he's had a good time. He's seen plenty of family, been to the corps and the CMT, got to his Nana's house and been seen traveling with a woman. (It's on the up and up.)

Our hopes for him include safe passage and safe duty over there. He hasn't said much, but you have the sense it's no picnic. We think he may return to his permanent post in Italy by March. We will be happy if that takes place.

Tonight I'm praying for him and our military in harm's way around the world. Please join me.

2 Timothy 2:1-4 (MSG)
2Ti 2:1 "So, my son, throw yourself into this work for Christ.
2 Pass on what you heard from me-—the whole congregation saying Amen!-—to reliable leaders who are competent to teach others.
3 When the going gets rough, take it on the chin with the rest of us, the way Jesus did.
4 A soldier on duty doesn't get caught up in making deals at the marketplace. He concentrates on carrying out orders."

I have a question.....Is the world coming to an end? In the Bible Mark chapter 13, it says thay when the end is near rumors of war and wars will arise, nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines etc....... What do u think??

Michael, I am sorry we didn't get that much of a chance to talk while you where home. Rest assured you're in my prayers and I hope to talk to you soon. Be safe. Good night.

Allison: I don't think the world is coming to an end right now. The Bible does give us signs about the return of Christ who will draw us who are believers to himself at that time. We do not have to worry...only be ready. This is part of the reason we tell our friends about Jesus, beause none of us know exactly when Jesus will return. We do know He will return.
