Emerging Church

The Majors Ashcraft came to the Territorial Executive Council and presented the above captioned subject. Now the territory and command leadership has no excuse to miss this present day movement. Emergents unite! Victory is assured!

OK, so I'm getting carried away. Truth is that there are more emergents in the room than most people would expect. This dynamic approach in Biblical Christianity resounds in many of us who will expect mountains to be moved for others to come to Christ.

I pray that the informed emergents will find grace to work with those who aren't there yet to glorify God in mission and in experience.

2 Peter 1:19 (MSG)
19 "We couldn't be more sure of what we saw and heard-—God's glory, God's voice. The prophetic Word was confirmed to us. You'll do well to keep focusing on it. It's the one light you have in a dark time as you wait for daybreak and the rising of the Morning Star in your hearts."

Many were lifting this up in prayer, Chief. Thanks to the TEC for the influential step of opening this door.

the emerging church of the 21st century may have more in common with the church of the apostolic era, than with the church of the 20th century.

many ancient practices of faith and ways of being communal are being re:booted and morphed for the needs of the future church. as leonard sweet writes, "our faith is ancient. our faith is future. we're old-fashioned. we're new-fangled. we're orthodox. we're innovators. we're postmodern christians."

JIm,

I think you are right. There were some emergents in the room. They are people who see beyond what some would consider the constraints of denominational position to a freedom of living in the ancient-future of Christianity.

Thanks for your support and the commercial.

It is good to hear your perspective. Very often, the field fels very disconnected from the Headquarters level.

Thank you. Be assured we are praying for you and your ministry.

In His Grip,
Dave
