Commissioners' Conference

After I wrote this blog, I went back and edited out everything about the Commissioners' Conference that really isn't public. This is what I'm left with:

"Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you," 1 Thes. 4:11 (NIV)

Isn't it frustrating? I could write a book about the people I talk to, but after a hectic two days dealing with far more humble matters I am reduced to quoting the Desert Fathers.

So out of total curiosity [which i tend to overflow with!] -- what exactly IS comissioner's conference?

Nothing confusing. I'm a Spiritual Director/Faith Companion who has the dubious privilege of working with a number of salvos as well as others. Right now I would LOVE to write a book, or add to my blog about it. But it would get me into serious trouble, so I will lift them up to God and use the blog to put in just exactly what I want to say to them, or what God is saying to me through them. So much and no more. Not a word, lol

I'm glad you know me. You are right. My answer had more to do with being funny than with a proper answer. I'm grateful you were not offended.

The Commissioners' Conference is the meeting of the Commissioners and chief secretaries of the USA. We assemble three times a year to consider issues of national concern. It's good for the ministry to have these points of connection. Much is accomplished in one accord.

Thanks for asking.

Lana: Thank you for your additional comment. I've now taken the time to read your blog and will do so going forward. My confusion has lifted. God bless you in your ministry.
