Voiseys

Today we celebrated the service of Lt. Colonels Norman and Jeanne Voisey. They retire the first of February 2006, but we had their formal retirement programs today in Wooster, Ohio. These folks have done it for over 77 years combined and have done it with competence and integrity.

The dinner program was highlighted by tributes from Captain Ricardo Fernandez, the Voisey (adult) children and Major Tom Mack. Each spoke eloquently and humorously. It's obvious that the Voiseys have made a significant impact on many people.

I believe the Voiseys have taught us four things in particular:

1. Faith is a relationship.
2. God is omnipotent.
3. Success is local.
4. The measurement of success is faithfulness.

Thank you, Norm and Jeanne for allowing the Holy Spirit to live in you.

1 Timothy 5:17 (NIV)
1Ti 5:17 "The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching."
