Mo' Kroc

The final word on Eastern Territory Kroc Corps Community Centers will really not be announced for another year. The process is not slow. It's deliberate. Today, the committee met to recommend those locations which will proceed to phase 2 and another round of competitive proposals.

We are learning important realities. Mission is no longer generically understood as helping people, unless there is an intentional leading to Christ. This is good.

We are not so interested in being surrogate servers. We want to do the mission, not hire others to do it for us. This is good.

Mission plans are strengthened by sustainability plans. This is good.

There are plenty of people and groups who will partner with us to fulfill our mission without reservation. This is good.

There's a lot of good with these plans. We're believing for much of God with these plans.

John 15:5 (TEV) "I am the vine, and you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will bear much fruit; for you can do nothing without me."

Although this finding may not seem to be progress, it really is. The Lord is not slow, as some consider slowness

And I heard a carpenter once say:

"Measure once, cut twice,
measure twice, cut once."

Nice to hear that programs of this magnitude are being considered carefully with a comprehensive review.

peace, my brother.

Thanks for your on-going wisdom, Chief. The danger of stumbling in this Kroc project seems almost equal to the opportunity to flourish. God bless you & the team as you sort this all out, for His glory.

Well, I find it interesting that the last two blogs have had a common thread in them. About all of us working and coming together. WOW! "Global Unity" & "Plenty of people and groups who will partner with us to fulfill our mission." I guess I would say that was set for us (all believers) some time ago by a great leader named Jesus- see for yourself:
1 Corinthians 12 (New International Version)
12The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. 13For we were all baptized by[c] one Spirit into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.

Now we need to get about His work no matter what position in the body you feel you are, you are important! "Let it begin with me, let me your servant be. I'll share your love with one, just one at a time. Helping your kingdom build, and so your will fulfill. Let it begin with one, Just one at a time!"

Thank you for your comments, friends. The theme is essential. So let us draw together and make it happen in the name of Christ.
