Closing Bell
For the first time in history, TSA was there to ring the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange and I'm happy to report that the market closed up.
Lt. Colonel Nestor Nuesch and company were there for the momentous occasion which was broadcast and recorded for posterity. Don't they all look good?
Do you suppose it is inappropriate to pray for a good market? There is much to gain in the kingdom when the market goes up. Today was a good day.
Ecclesiastes 11:2 (TEV)
"Put your investments in several places - many places even - because you never know what kind of bad luck you are going to have in this world."

I would just like to know, where did we come up with the Slogan doing the most Good. Is the Salvation Army changing their focus, whatever happened to heart to God and Hand to man. Whatever happened to going out on the Streets and evangelising, now we ring bells at the Stock Exchange, where is the Army going
I hope, Anon, that you revisit this posting. These are clearly good questions. I have read dialogue on a few other blogs about the DTMG promise. It is causing a stir. What I've read there reveals an unfortunate lack of information on this promise.
I don't pretend to have the answers to your questions, but I encourage you to keep asking and seeking the truth. Is it too much to ask you to trust your leaders as you pray for them?
Please hear my word of encouragement to you. We need clear thinking people willing to ask the questions in the Kingdom.
my other question would be where is the biblical meaning behind Doing the most good, what are we advertising to the public, I think it is a boastful slogan. there are a lot of ways we are not doing the most good, so to me this is a bit of false advertising.
Thanks for coming back Anon and bringing a good friend. There's no defense needed for what each of you say and your opinions are important. Knowing one of you, I would say that if you were aware of the purpose and plan of the promise, the questions you pose would be answered.
Promoting onself has an inherent conflict in the scriptures, while at the same time we are told to let our light shine.
I believe there's risk in the promise. I believe there has always been a qualified concern with the phrase "heart to God, hand to man." Are we so confident that we have been absolutely faithful to that characterisation? Then why would we continue to use it? Are we always a Salvation Army?
Yes, there are valid questions and not enough answers to them all. Check out the NHQ site or some of the USA territorial sites to better understand what is meant by DTMG. You might be surprised how people are responding to it positively.
