Now think back a bit...What was the first Christian hard rock group that became popular? Yep...Petra. Now for the sad news..."After 33 years of music and ministry, Christian rock pioneer PETRA will come to a close. December 2005 will mark the end to a ministry that has boldly and consistently proclaimed the gospel in the United States and abroad. The decision to retire the band was mutual by all members."

I suppose If they were 21 when they started, they're old guys now and maybe enough is enough. They've served God when rock music was a sin in the minds of many and helped to usher in a whole new genre of Christian music, for which I'm grateful. I'll hold on to my Perta recordings and remember the good old days.

No!! Not Petra! I remember listening to them, and I'm not that old.... :-)
No way! I thought the first Christian Rock group was from the Program, Kitchen & Grounds staff at Camp Ladore that many years ago as well!
