Woman finds 'salvation' through Army

Hudson Post - Boston
By Claudia Torrens/ Staff Writer

Roberta Clark knew she was in trouble when her daughter Justine was given to foster care.
The then 43-year-old single mother was heavily involved in drugs and alcohol. She suffered from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder after growing up in an alcoholic environment and losing her brother and sister from the same addiction problems. She neglected Justine, she said.
"I needed help. I wanted to die all the time," Clark said.
Eight years later, Clark lives in her own apartment at Hollis Street in Framingham and volunteers at the Salvation Army. You may see her ringing the bell at Wal-Mart or Sears in Natick, for people to make donations to the charity.
She has been sober for the last six years.

Should we be surprised?

Acts 4:12 (TEV)
"Salvation is to be found through him alone; in all the world there is no one else whom God has given who can save us."
