School for Officers' Training

Is it even possible that there might be a better training school than ours? I think not. One of the Generals, after a tour of the facilities a few years ago (Gowans?), said, "with such a school as this, you ought to produce some of the finest officers." It was a comment and challenge.

Now add to that, the heart of the SFOT: personnel. To a person, the staff and faculty are excellent. Prepared, proficient and productive, these officers and employees are Spirit-filled servants delighting the heart of God. Thank you, Lord.

So what about the officers commissioned? They are the fruit of this environment and they are first class. We should only expect the best from these called ones and trust them with confidence in the diverse and critical ministries in which they have been placed. On we march!

Hebrews 12:9 (MSG)
'We respect our own parents for training and not spoiling us, so why not embrace God's training so we can truly live?"

We're doing great. The SA is growing and the love of God is being expressed in fruitful ways.

Are we making some mistakes? Are some weary in well-doing? Have we had casualties? Yes to all, but we are fully engaged in serving Christ as best we can.

Thanks for asking.

Out of sheer curiosity, have you seen this AP articles about the Army? Here is one copy from the Chicago Sun-Times. What are your thoughts? http://www.suntimes.com/output/news/cst-nws-sal18.html

Thanks, Karen. I've read the article. I believe the facts presented are accurate for the country as a whole.

The USA Eastern Territory, however, continues to grow over this same period in time in both officer and soldier catagories and Sunday attendences. The global SA is growing as well.

I wonder sometimes are the standards of the training school to low, and to we let some people slide just because they have a certain relation, or a certain last name.

Anon: You make me think you're unfamiliar with our territory by the question.

It is a good question, though, to ask of any school, in particular, the SFOT. If we don't ask these questions, we may fall into the very concern you seem to have.
